Continuing Education Program
The Plumbing Contractors Association is a recognized Continuing Education sponsor for both the State of Florida (Provider #0000987) and Miami-Dade County (Provider #D020). As such, the Association is authorized to offer approved continuing education courses that satisfy state and county licensing renewal requirements.
Licensed contractors and journeymen are required to renew their licenses every two years and must submit proof of completion of continuing education hours as part of the renewal process. The State of Florida requires a minimum of 14 continuing education hours, with licenses due for renewal by August 31 of each even-numbered year. Miami-Dade County requires a minimum of 16 continuing education hours, with license renewals due by September 30 of each odd-numbered year.
To support members and the industry at large, the Plumbing Contractors Association offers continuing education credit hours through multiple formats, including monthly General Membership meetings, scheduled evening classes, and courses held at various times throughout the year. Additional evening and weekend classes are available to accommodate busy professional schedules. All courses are taught by State of Florida and Miami-Dade County–approved instructors, ensuring compliance with current educational standards and regulatory requirements.
Course pricing varies based on content and format. Each registration includes course handout materials and, upon successful completion, a Certificate of Completion for licensing documentation.
Beyond continuing education, the Plumbing Contractors Association serves as a resource for licensing support. The Association can assist members with most licensing-related questions or help facilitate accurate information directly from the State of Florida or Miami-Dade County, providing added confidence and convenience throughout the licensing and renewal process.
